PostSubject: Hi from Sherri   Sat Aug 29, 2009 2:15 pm

Hello,
online I am known as Sherri or pralinkova-princezna on deviantART: http://pralinkova-princezna.deviantart.com/
I like playing browser games like Howrse.com, Dragon Cave and The West.
My favourite anime is Elemental Gelade but I like also Chobits, Angelic Layer, Rozen Maiden and Bottle Fairy.
My absolute fave character is Cisqua from Elemental Gelade (my icon.. hehe) <3 I take her as my soulmate.

I cross stitch only occassionally but I have loved it since childhood.

I would like to have a program for making patterns, which will you recommend? I want something freeware.

Hi there!
KG Chart really is the best cross-stitching freeware software I know, I hope it will start working. If not the only other thing I can reccomend is PC Stitch - I'm using the full version now and it's very good. It has a free version, it's particulary the same as the full and that you can download - here. The only thing that is locked is the save button.
I hope at least one of the programs will work for you Smile

I tried various types of files, bmp, gif, jpg, png. And none works. I posted a question on the support forum but have had no reply yet.

Hmmmmmm. I wish I was more help!!
I use the Hobbyware cross stitch Maker so I don't know much about the program.
You might try Sprite Stitch

-- lots of people there use the KG Program.

I have used both PC Stitch and Hobbyware. I like Hobbyware the best but they only have a 4 day trial of their product. I find the best way to keep your patterns with using programs like PC Stitch is to 'print screen' the charts and key and put them together it a program like photoshop. I am a very fickle person so I want to try as many programs as I can before I buy one but I think its a wast of a pattern if you cant save it.

I will try to reinstall the program but if it cannot import images I think I will not mind too much, since it is better for me to do things from scratch than edit something. Anyway, thanks all!

Well I bought my Hobbyware professional program a long time ago. It was the best one on the market at the time! I totally love it-- I have never had any problems with it! When I goto upgrade my program I will still go with Hobbyware.
