I didn't set the parameter for the patterns, so I can't be sure, but I always assumed that if you wanted to make something like a sampler that said "Home Sweet Home" in analog, or pictures of computers and stuff like that, it would go in that section. I could be totally off base, though, since I'm just guessing and thinking of the sort of stuff I've seen finished images of. ^^;

you are very close missy-tannenbaum. It is pretty much for computer/sifi related things. If you wanted to stitch a stick figure smacking their head against their computer or a picture of Spock from Star Trek I would put it under Geeky/Nerdy.

*random after thought* I should donate my G.I.R. pattern for this area. How do I go about that?

Ah, you should submit Gir!! It would be really fun to stitch. I think all of the submission guidelines and instructions are here: http://1337xstitch.yolasite.com/donating.php , off of the site's main page, but I'm not the top authority on the matter by any means. ^^;
I've been working on a pattern from the SNES setup manual, but I'm not sure if that would go under video games, since it plays them, or geeky/nerdy, since it seems to qualify under that, too.

Hmmm that is a good question about the systems. I would probably file it under both because it technically belongs in both category's. That is the hardest part about G/N it doesn't have any specific standards like Anime, Video Games, and Japanese. I'm thinking about making patterns for the logos of a few programming languages just so I have something to go in there. Or maybe the live long and prosperous symbol.

You can add more categories later. Like sci-fi.

I'd guess off the top of my head that a gaming console is geeky/nerdy, since it's a machine (or a computer, if we were in the 1980s and being sued by Universal studio ;3) that people use to play a wide variety of games. Not to mention tinker with. *cough*

Hmm, would maths related stuff will go under "nerdy"? I mean, a design like this:

The pattern for this can be used for cross-sticth - it's just a grid after all
P.S. I hope the pic will come out, becouse it has caused me problems before.
P.S.S. I keep forgeting this formula even though I spent hours and hours working on it. Rolling Eyes

Ok then. I have this pattern from the Friendship Bracelet Forum so I don't know who's the designer. I will try to find him and ask if you can put the pattern on your site. I hope he'll agree if the credits and links are given. But first I'll have to remember my password to log in... it's been some time since I last write in that forum

Just give a formula and it should be easy to make it into pixel art.

Good luck with the bracelets! It's easy and fun ^___^
And it's true that we can make ourselves a pattern using a formula but still the idea belongs to that guy, so it would be fair to give some credit. I've made some patterns out of anonimous pictures found with google (like the Hitachiin twins), but when I know there's a designer I think we should give him the credit for it. I found the name of the one who made the nerdy pattern for the formula, but he haven't logged in for more than an year. So know I sent a PM to one of the seniors bracelet makers there asking if the pattern can be reposted if we state the desighner and link back Smile I hope she'll respond me ^^
