PostSubject: Greg's Completed Cross-Stitch   Sun Aug 30, 2009 11:30 pm

Most of my completed work can be found on DeviantART at http://saber4734.deviantart.com/

I make all my patterns using Microsoft Paint and then using the "zoom" and "show grid" options I can stitch it right off the computer. No more graph paper for me.

For your viewing pleasure I will post some of my more detailed work here. I do not give these patterns out to anyone. It is my way to ensure they stay one of a kind works. They have sentimental value. All of them are framed now.

I've always liked seeing how nicely the comic art style translates to cross stitch, and it's not something you see too often, either! They look nifty.

You are correct. You don't see comic cross-stitch often and when you do see some it isn't as detailed as mine.

Yes I am quite proud of Spidey. The costume took a hell of a lot of patience.

Yes it took me a while to decide on the correct colors for that part of his shield. I am very happy with how it turned out.

Tell your friend I have a piece I did that is Cap's head. I am willing to sell it if he is interested. It can be seen on my DA page or I can send it via e-mail.

Well I took my time with these larger patterns. And I think I learned from each of them.

I actually had someone on DeviantART ask me if Captain America was a drawing. I said nope, that's needle work my friend.

It would take me a while to make a pattern and then at least 3 months to stitch it.

only 3 months to stitch it? wow It would at lest take me a year. I usually get frustrated and have to leave it alone for a while till I get in the mood to stitch again.
