| I saw thishere on a Chinese Cross Stitch forum, and thought it's so true! Besides, it has the sign "repost for your reference" so I just had to share this. I STARTED A CROSS-STITCH THE OTHER DAY
IT'S NOT MY FIRST I'M AFRAID TO SAY
I'VE STARTED AT LEAST A HUNDRED AND ONE
AND ONLY A HANDFUL OF THESE ARE DONE
MY PROBLEM IS SIMPLE, PLAIN AND EASY TO SEE
I'M HOOKED ON CROSS-STITCH,IT'S NOT AS BAD AS COULD BE
I DON'T DRINK OR GAMBLE, I JUST SIT AND STITCH
THIS IS MY WEAKNESS, MY PASSION, MY ITCH
EACH PROJECT I BUY IS EXCITING AND NEW
I CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED, SO THAT'S WHAT I DO
I STITCH ON THE NEW PIECE,FORGETTING THE OLD
THAT MAKES ONE MORE PIECE I M PUTTING ON HOLD
IF I BOUGHT NO MORE PROJECTS EVER AGAIN
I'LL STILL NEVER FINISH IF I LIVE TO BE ONE HUNDRED AND TEN
SO I'LL KEEP RIGHT ON BUYING FOREVER MORE
(I'M A PREFERRED CUSTOMER AT MY LOCAL CRAFTS STORE)
AND WHEN MY TIME COMES, IN STITCHES HEAVEN I'LL BE
WITH ENOUGH UNFINISHED PROJECTS TO LAST THROUGH ETERNITY
I'LL SIT AND I'LL STITCH ALL THE DAY THROUGH
AND I MAY FINISH A PROJECT,MAYBE EVEN TWOI don't know for you, but I sure am one of those persons, who are easily seduced by new project, leaving the old ones on hold! |

| Lol that is so true! I was never like that til recently. I always made myself finish one project before I would start another. Now this poem would be adorable turned into a cross stitch pattern with a cute border. |

| I tend to finish all the projects I do since I hate having unfinished projects!!! Plus they get dirty if they are around too much. One of my things is I stitch them -- and I never frame them!! It is one of my crafty things I want to complete this year!! It will be a good thing to learn to make my own frames!! The only thing I have a major problem with is the supplies!! I buy and buy lots of floss plus Aida. It is hard to find storage for it all!! But that problem will be fixed in the near future. I hope to make a wooden storage chest with smaller compartments in it. I plan to carve the wood too!! Maybe I should make 2!!! LOL!!! |
